About me

I am an Assistant Professor of Smart Manufacturing in the College of Innovation & Technology at the University of Michigan–Flint. I direct research in the SMART Lab where we create, design and integrate immersive, intelligent, and connected systems (XR/AI/IoT) for human-centered design, training, and digital-twin-enabled manufacturing.

I hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics from Purdue University, where I was a member of the Convergence Design Lab advised by Prof. Karthik Ramani. My thesis focused on development of smart immersive experiences and AI-assisted authoring tools that advance workforce development, creativity, and collaboration in next-generation manufacturing environments. I received my B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from NIT Rourkela.
